Maasai Mara National Reserve (Kenya)
Main Feature/Animal: The Great Migration & Big Five
The Maasai Mara is renowned for its incredible wildlife, particularly the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles migrate from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Mara in Kenya. It is also home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros). Tsavo National Park (Kenya)
Main Feature/Animal: Red Elephants

Lake Naivasha (Kenya)

The lake also has a sizable population of hippos that can often be seen resting in the water. Crescent Island (Kenya)

Crescent Island is a private sanctuary on Lake Naivasha, and it’s one of the few places in Kenya where visitors can walk among wildlife. The island is home to a range of animals like giraffes, zebras, and gazelles. The scenery is stunning, with a crescent-shaped peninsula that offers breathtaking views over the lake.
Amboseli National Park (Kenya)
Main Feature/Animal: Elephants & Mount Kilimanjaro Views
Known for its iconic view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants. The park is home to some of the largest elephant herds in Africa, and it's also known for its stunning landscape, where you can see elephants grazing against the backdrop of the mountain.
Lake Nakuru National Park (Kenya)

Lake Nakuru is famous for its massive flocks of greater and lesser flamingos that often line the shores of the lake, creating a stunning visual spectacle. The park is also a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos, and visitors can spot a variety of other animals such as giraffes, buffalo, and lions. Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Kenya)
Main Feature/Animal: Endangered Species (including Northern White Rhino)
Ol Pejeta is a private conservancy that is home to the last two northern white rhinos in the world, making it a crucial site for rhino conservation. It also offers sanctuary to cheetahs, elephants, chimpanzees, and other endangered species. The conservancy emphasizes both wildlife conservation and community development.
Loisaba Conservancy (Kenya)
Main Feature/Animal: Wildlife Conservation & Wilderness
Loisaba is a vast, remote wilderness area that is home to a variety of animals, including elephants, giraffes, leopards, and cheetahs. It’s also known for its unique wildlife conservation efforts and its commitment to sustainable tourism. The conservancy offers opportunities for safaris, as well as activities like horseback riding and camel trekking.
Samburu National Reserve (Kenya)
Main Feature/Animal: Unique Wildlife & Cultural Experience
Located in the semi-arid region of northern Kenya, Samburu is famous for its unique wildlife species, such as the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, and Beisa oryx. These species are not commonly found in other parts of Kenya. The reserve is also known for its rich Samburu culture, where visitors can engage with local communities and experience traditional life. Samburu is less crowded, offering a more exclusive and intimate safari experience.

Serengeti National Park

Ngorongoro Crater (Ngorongoro Conservation Area)

Lake Manyara National Park

The park’s landscape is diverse, ranging from lush forests to soda lakes, and it offers great opportunities to spot flamingos and a variety of other wildlife like elephants, zebras, and buffalo.
Selous Game Reserve (now Nyerere National Park)
Unique Feature: Remote & Untouched Wilderness
Selous, now called Nyerere National Park, is one of the largest game reserves in the world. It's known for its pristine and untouched wilderness, offering an authentic safari experience. The park is home to large populations of elephants, buffalo, and hippos, as well as a diverse range of predators. Its rivers, such as the Rufiji River, are perfect for boat safaris, and the park also allows for walking safaris, which is rare in many other parks.
Ruinsori Mountains National Park
Unique Feature: Alpine Flora & High-altitude Trekking
The Ruinsori Mountains are a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the few places in Africa with alpine vegetation. The park offers the unique experience of high-altitude trekking in a tropical mountain range, where hikers can encounter glaciers, waterfalls, and mist-covered peaks. Mikumi National Park
